When asked about a tweet by Janata Party chief Subramanian Swamy, who allegedly blamed the north Indian lobby in the board for targeting south Indians in the BCCI, Srinivasan said, “It is an open secret that there is a conspiracy against south Indians.”
Srinivasan also said that the BCCI had no connections whatsoever with the bookies, and they were deeply shocked when Sreesanth and others were arrested for their links with the betting scandal.
“Gurunath, for all the charges levelled against him, did not flee to another country. I have trust in him and believe that he will come out unscathed. The charges against him will be disproved,” he added.
