Speaking to Newsweek, the soon-to-be mother opened up about the moment she hit “rock bottom” during an intense exchange with her fellow cast members.
She also discussed her experience with The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On hosts Nick and Vanessa Lachey.
But first Ballatori gushed about married life with husband Colby Kissinger, who issued the ultimatum, describing their union as “the sweetest thing.”

“Colby and I have really had the opportunity to grow as individuals and as a couple taking what we learnt from the show and applying it to improve our communication and love for each other,” Ballatori said.
The Netflix star went on to say the relationship with her husband, who fathered her unborn daughter, has “thrived” since season one aired.
However, Ballatori told Newsweek they have decided not to reveal their daughter’s name until her birth.
Madlyn Ballatori Speaks Out About Shanique Imari Clash
When conversation shifted to Randall Griffin and their relationship while filming The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On, Ballatori set the record straight on a few things, one being how she handled girls’ night.
Fans of the series will remember Ballatori shared some intimate details about her romance with Griffin while in the presence of Shanique Imari, who the former had separated with for the purposes of the show’s social experiment.
In hindsight, Ballatori recognized the situation as “uncomfortable.” However, she stood by her decision to divulge the information she had about Griffin in front of Imari.
“I think it would be even more weird to have sat at that table for hours with those girls and not just face the situation at hand,” she began.
“We were living with and connecting with each other’s boyfriends. We all went around and shared our physical experience. The way I went about it [was] clearly not the best. I would’ve done a lot better to have had that conversation with her sober and privately.”
She continued: “Filming The Ultimatum was a very intense experience. This was by far the most stress I’ve been under in my life due to the pressures of filming, the weight of the situations we were put under and my relationship being at stake.”
Madlyn Ballatori On “Rock Bottom Moment”
Asked what she regretted most during her experience on the show, Ballatori replied: “You’d think the obvious answer would be girls’ night, right? I think that’s my rock bottom moment.
“But truthfully the whole time I really struggled. I just wish I had been in a better place. I’m not sure how but I wish I’d been more mentally prepared.”
Thankfully, the Lachey’s were on hand to offer support and comforting words to Ballatori and the entire cast, something she greatly appreciated.
“Nick and Vanessa were absolutely incredible,” Ballatori praised, before adding: “Vanessa specifically took the time to share her past experiences and it just provided me with a whole new outlook when I was not feeling hope.”
The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On Season 1 is available to watch on Netflix now.
